Georgia Writers Association

Georgia Writers Association is a nonprofit organization that is focused on the skill, the craft, and the art of language and communication. It is dedicated to promoting literacy and to heightening awareness in both the creative and the business aspects of the writing life. It works to encourage and strengthen the proficiencies of writers from culturally diverse backgrounds by offering information, support, networking, opportunity and recognition, and it connects them with the public and one another. This is accomplished through an array of speakers and programs at regular meetings and through workshops, conferences, seminars, retreats, contests and other events and by the formation of Pods, (satellite groups) and other forms of support groups, and by the bi-monthly publication of Georgia Writers News/Mag.
